A transverse collision between a car and a pickup truck left a man dead on Sunday night (1st) on BR-468 in Campo Novo, in the Northwest of Rio Grande do Sul. The accident occurred around 9:20 pm at kilometer 70 of the highway. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the crash involved a VW Gol 1000, registered in Independência, and a Ford F-250 pickup truck from Campo Novo. The 32-year-old driver of the pickup truck died at the scene. The driver of the car fled after the collision and has not yet been located. The circumstances of the accident will be investigated.
