A fatal head-on collision between a car and a truck left two people dead in the early hours of Monday (9), at km 706 of BR-116, in Muriaé, about 160 kilometers from Juiz de Fora. The victims were a 61-year-old man, who was driving the vehicle, and a 54-year-old woman, who was a passenger. Due to the severity of the injuries, the deaths were confirmed at the scene. The truck driver was unharmed. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the car was heading towards Laranjal to Muriaé when the driver allegedly lost control of the steering, crossed into the opposite lane, and collided with a truck.
