Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will begin his visit to India on February 18 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to strengthen their strategic partnership. Simultaneously, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is set to testify in Los Angeles in a trial on social media addiction, amid another case ongoing in New Mexico.

Lula’s visit to India includes participation in the AI Impact Summit from 19 to 20 February, with bilateral talks scheduled with PM Modi. President Droupadi Murmu will meet Lula and host a banquet in his honor during the visit. Lula will be accompanied by 14 ministers and Brazilian CEOs, engaging in ministerial meetings and a Business Forum.

Zuckerberg is expected to testify in a social media addiction trial in Los Angeles, marking a critical legal test for Meta. The trial involves 1,600 plaintiffs deciding on social media platforms’ responsibility for user addiction and health issues. Denmark’s King Frederik will visit Greenland to assert sovereignty over the Arctic island amidst US demands.

Ahead of the 2026 state assembly elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit West Bengal for various programs. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will visit Assam to participate in party meetings before the state elections. India will play the Netherlands in the T20 World Cup match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The match will be live-streamed on JioHotstar and telecast on the Star Sports Network.
