Associations such as ABBC, Febraban, Acrefi, and Zetta have released a statement in support of the Central Bank. The document highlights the challenges to the authority of the institution. The Central Bank clarifies that the order does not explain the concrete divergence of versions that would justify the procedure between the director of supervision of the monetary authority, Ailton de Aquino Santos; the owner of Master, Daniel Vorcaro; and the former president of Banco de Brasília Paulo Henrique Costa. The Central Bank also wants to know if Ailton de Aquino Santos will participate in the confrontation as a witness, investigated party, offended person, or if he will represent the institution. The monetary authority has also asked the Supreme Court to revoke or adjust the decision if the raised points are not clarified. The confrontation is scheduled for next Tuesday via video conference.
