Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro’s legal team has filed a request for his house arrest to be considered by the Supreme Court, due to health concerns. They argue that the 70-year-old leader’s recurrent intestinal problems, exacerbated by a stabbing incident in 2018, could be life-threatening if he remains in prison. The document presented to the court stated that keeping Bolsonaro in a prison environment would pose immediate risks to his physical integrity and even his life, advocating for house arrest on humanitarian grounds.
