The conversation touched on the Venezuelan crisis, Trump’s proposed ‘Board of Peace’ initiative, and cooperation in combating organized crime. Regarding Venezuela, Lula highlighted the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region, particularly given recent US actions involving President Nicolás Maduro that Lula had previously criticized. The leaders also talked about the fight against organized crime, with Lula underscoring the necessity of working for the well-being of the Venezuelan population.
