The court said the five-justice panel that heard the right-wing leader’s case will announce their decision on whether he is guilty of attempting a coup and what his sentence will be. Bolsonaro has been accused of undermining democratic institutions and inciting violence during his time in office. The trial has been closely watched as a test of Brazil’s fragile democracy and the rule of law.
